Karen Defilippi is a seasoned political operative, strategist, and leader, with experience spanning 42 states through the largest party committee, the premier organization electing Democratic women, and the halls of Congress. She most recently served as a Deputy Executive Director for the DCCC, which produced the strongest midterm performance by House Democrats under a first-term President in six decades. Prior to the DCCC, she spent three cycles at EMILY’s List where she oversaw all their women running for governor or the U.S. Senate or House. She also served as Chief of Staff to Rep. Debbie Dingell. She was recognized by the AAPC as a “40 Under 40” Award Winner for her work in the 2018 cycle. Throughout her work, Karen has prioritized supporting candidates of all backgrounds to elected office and building diverse teams. She is a Past Board Member of the LGBTQ Victory Fund Campaign Board and current Advisor for the Zinc Collective/Blue Leadership Collaborative. Karen lives in Washington, D.C. with her wife, Liz and their two kids where she is most often found competing in Peloton challenges or perfecting her baking skills.
