What We’re Up To
Virginia Tech has selected BerlinRosen, ranked the number one public relations agency in the country by Observer, as the PR agency to support its world-class Innovation Campus in Alexandria, Virginia, a $1 billion graduate campus that will anchor the National Landing Technology District.
Contracted through a competitive review process, BerlinRosen will drive narrative and communications around the Virginia Tech Innovation Campus to help position it as a premier institution for technology and innovation, creating a pipeline of tech talent for the growing Washington DC technology economy.
“The creation of the Innovation Campus builds on our longstanding emphasis of promoting economic development across Virginia and our land-grant mission,” says Tracy Vosburgh, Senior Associate Vice President for University Relations. “We’re excited to be represented by BerlinRosen as they help us communicate our vision for this world-class campus and develop new tech talent, disciplines and research that will transform the regional economy.”
Virginia Tech joins BerlinRosen’s fast-growing and innovation-focused higher education practice. BerlinRosen helped launch the Cornell Tech campus on Roosevelt Island and has served as the campus’ firm of record since 2011. In addition, the firm represents Barnard College, Stanford Precourt Institute of Energy, Berkeley University of California, Ithaca College, Bryn Mawr College and more.
“As BerlinRosen continues to grow, we’re proud to welcome Virginia Tech. Their new campus in Alexandria and the surrounding Innovation District will help usher in a new generation of technologists and transform the nation’s capital,” says Jonathan Rosen, Principal and Co-Founder of BerlinRosen. “Our Education practice has grown to over 40 professionals offering wide-reaching capabilities across public relations, digital strategy, creative services and public affairs.”
The win illuminates BerlinRosen’s unique industry position at the intersection of higher education, technology, issue advocacy, philanthropy, lifestyle, travel, real estate, renewable energy, environment and politics across its offices in New York, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles.
