Catherine (Cat) Almonte Da Costa is the Head of Culture at Orchestra, where she leads initiatives to build a cohesive and high-performing workplace across the newly integrated company. A strategic leader with deep expertise in organizational culture and team development, she creates values-driven environments where team members feel supported and motivated to thrive. With over a decade of experience guiding public and private institutions through complex transformations, Cat specializes in nurturing workplace trust, collaboration, and shared purpose. Previously, as Global Head of Equity and Impact at Sotheby’s, she accelerated systemic changes in the global art market. Her diverse leadership experience includes serving as Managing Director of The Broad Room, empowering women through political education, and as Deputy Director for Communications at NYC Census 2020, where she helped achieve record-breaking results in historically undercounted communities. At the Brooklyn Museum, she strengthened community relations, and during her time at New York City Hall, she served as a key aid to Mayor Bill de Blasio. Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in New York City, Cat has a deep love for exploring new places and immersing herself in nature. A passionate dancer, she established the latin dance team, Quimbamba, at her alma mater, Binghamton University. She lives in Brooklyn with her partner and their two daughters.
