Shayne Wells is a Vice President leading public affairs, land use and real estate work in the DC area. Before joining BerlinRosen, he spearheaded communications for economic and business development priorities for the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development in the Washington, D.C. Mayor’s office, serving as communications director and principal spokesperson. He also managed external communications related to Washington, D.C.’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Shayne previously served in a variety of roles throughout DC government including Press Secretary for the District of Columbia Public Schools, Deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education and Traveling Chief of Staff to the Mayor. He is a native Washingtonian.
