Biruk Zelalem is an Account Executive on the Labor Team in NYC, where she provides media relations and communications support for a variety of clients, primarily focused on philanthropy, economic and racial justice. Biruk interned at BerlinRosen before joining full time, working across real estate, lifestyle, public affairs and advocacy clients. Prior to BerlinRosen, Biruk worked at the Denver Office of Economic Development and Opportunity where she helped build comprehensive workforce initiatives that addressed the employment and educational needs of justice-involved youth. Biruk is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, graduating in Political Science and Strategic Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. Originally from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Biruk grew up in Aurora, Colorado. On any given day, you can find Biruk exploring the city, eating injera, and having a heated debate about 2000s R&B.
