Our client, Ras Baraka, was elected mayor of Newark, NJ on Tuesday, May 13. Baraka, the first mayor elected in Newark since Cory Booker left for the U.S. Senate, withstood a multi-million dollar challenge funded by allies of Gov. Chris Christie.
Baraka’s victory, combined with Bill de Blasio’s victory in 2013, cements BerlinRosen’s position as a go-to Democratic consulting firm for big-city mayoral races.
